If you receive your admission letter or visa D after August 19^th, 2024, you may pre-register and register by September 4^th at the latest. The course fee at the VWU is €595 for winter semester 2024/2025.

• If there are no more available course places at VWU or your placement test result is below FG-level, you may only register at die Berater® or Sprachenzentrum der Universität Wien. The course fee there is € 1,493 (plus €27 for course materials) in winter semester 2024/2025.Persons who achieved FG- or WF-level in the placement test but cannot be offered a course place at VWU will attend a German course at die Berater® or Sprachenzentrum der Universität Wien in winter semester 2024/2025 (the course fee is €1,493 plus €27 for course materials). They may attend courses in the remaining subjects at VWU in a later semester.

You must pre-register online at die Berater® or Sprachenzentrum der Universität Wien starting August 5^th, 2024. Further information can be found on the website of the respective course provider (see below). Please note that there is limited capacity, which means you might not be able to register at the course provider of your choice, if they no longer have any available course places.

The course fee is €1,493 (plus €27 for course material fees) for winter semester 2024/2025. You need to register in person with a hard copy of your admission letter and your passport or other proof of identity between August 12^th and 26^th, 2024, at die Berater® or Sprachenzentrum der Universität Wien.

First registrations prior to August 12^th are only possible for students, whose visa D expires on or before August 15^th.

The earliest date for early registration is when admission opens at university for winter semester 2024/2025.

First registrations prior to the start of admission are not possible.

For early registration make an appointment at the end of June with the respective course provider (see above for more information).

After registration you may complete your admission at university (visit your university's admission website for more information).

 

First registration after September 4^th is only possible for students, who received their visa D or admission letter (the date on the admission letter counts) on or after August 30_^th.

With late registration after September 4^th, there is no guarantee for a course place. Course places may only be allocated late, if there are any remaining course places and only in course levels, where there are still course places available.

If you received your visa D or your admission letter only after August 30^_th, contact the respective course provider (see above for more information). You will then receive information on whether there are still course places available and if so, how you may register for them.

With late registration, admission at university needs to be completed immediately, or until October 31^st the very latest.

Free course places may be allocated until shortly before October 31^st (=end of admission at university in winter semester 2024/2025).
